Early on in the second incarnation of myself as a nature artist & signmaker, I was fortunate to have had famed outdoor retailer L.L.Bean as a client who remained with me for about 15 years. They initially commissioned me to create a few unique pieces for their flagship store (corporate office) in Freeport, Maine. Subsequently, retailer Eddie Bauer learned of me and commissioned me for a project of theirs as well. It was a crazy, successful time for my Matthew Henry project. If you Googled ‘lodge signs’ or ‘cabin signs’ or ‘the language of nature‘ at the time, I was typically #1 in search. The success was unbelievable. A few more years into it, I decided to grab some real estate at Etsy to help expand my work (5-star rated shop) creating cheesy, albeit classy custom nature related signs. And then I quit. I was overwhelmed with all of the work. Thankful nonetheless.
Beginning a new here with some online real estate at YouTube and Instagram. A good place to park the ‘eye candy’. Advertising is king. It’s only the beginning revisited. Nature is good medicine. I am a blessed man.
